What We Collect

When you use ResumeMatch, we collect:

Account info — name, email address, password (hashed)
Resume data — the document you upload and information extracted from it
Search preferences — location, experience level, industry filters
Usage data — search activity, application tracking, timestamps

Payment card information is handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store card numbers.

Third-Party Processing

To provide our service, certain data is processed by third-party infrastructure and service providers. This includes AI processing services, job listing data providers, payment processing, database hosting, and application hosting. These providers process data solely to deliver our service and are bound by their own privacy obligations.

We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. They fall into two groups:

Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and set for everyone. These keep you signed in (Supabase authentication), maintain your session while a search runs, remember your light/dark theme choice, secure payment processing through Stripe, and protect against abuse and fraud. The site cannot work without these.
Analytics and marketing — used to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising. These include Google Analytics and Google Ads via Google Tag Manager, and the Meta Pixel.
Review invitations — if you receive a full career report, we may share your email address and name with Trustpilot so they can invite you to review us. Trustpilot sends that invitation directly and acts as an independent controller of the data. We no longer load any Trustpilot script or cookies on this site. See Trustpilot's privacy terms.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and payment from working. If you would prefer not to receive a Trustpilot invitation, email us and we will exclude you.

Data Retention

Resume files — automatically deleted after 180 days. Basic metadata is retained.
Reports and applications — stored until you delete your account
Account data — stored until you request deletion

Your Rights

Access — view your data anytime via your dashboard
Export — download your reports as PDF
Delete — permanently delete your account and all data from your dashboard

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. We employ rate limiting, input validation, secure authentication, and industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
